Bomb blasts in Ahmedabad

After the bomb blasts in Bangalore, today there were 13 bomb blasts in Ahmedabad. There are few casualities. Blasts were in isanpur, bupu nagar, narol cirlcle, hatkeshwar, sarangpur, markets. The first blast was at 6.45pm at Bapunagar today and were kept in tiffin boxes on cycles. Blast in sarkhej in CNG bus. Blasts were in the Chief Minister’s constituency also. Rapid action force has been called to take care of the situation. Bombs were planted on cycles in the crowded market place.

Electronic Passport launched in India

The new electronic passport or the E passport is shown in the video below, which has an electronic chip in it. The card can store about 72kb of data which includes the photo, finger print, etc. The president and and prime minister of India are the first people to get this card. Each chip cost the government INR 200-300. The old passport is still valid, probably when you renew your passport next time, you will get an electronic passport. The electronic passport is developed by IIT Kanpur.

Today there was a function arranged at Kalafanu School in Male’ where the Hon Indian High Commissioner, India club chairman, Mr Ghosh, CEO of State Bank of India, Male’ Branch were talking about the activities of India Club. You can register at a member of India club by paying a fees of MRF 35 and two stamp size photo. You will be provided with a receipt and ID card later. Hurry up, get registered
