State trading organisation or shortly called STO is a Public Limited Company with 90% shares with the Maldivian Government. STO is the major importer in Maldives and deals with different products like Consumer Electronics, Home appliances, Medicals, Canned foods, Health foods and a range of other high quality products. STO also has a very big retail outlet for daily need products which is very popular. STO supplies almost all the major share to the Government departments and cater all the Government offices needs.

STO even has an office in Singapore which perform the dual role of acting as the coordinating office for foreign investors interested in forming a partnership with the STO for joint ventures in the Maldives.
