Re-structuring my blog
February 22, 2008 · Print This Article
I have been posting on different blogs of mine. I have to do posts on about 5 blogs to keep them live and my problem is I hardly get time to do a post. To keep my readers visit my blogs and to tell them something interesting, I last night decided to just work on two of my blogs.
- KishoreAsokan.Com
- Home Jobs
I purchased two templates from Revolution Themes and installed one to this blog and to the Home Jobs Blog. Today being a holiday for me, I spent the whole day restructuring and upgrading my blog. I will be posting pages related to my projects, travels, news in Maldives, India, and some tech posts here. My Home Jobs blog is totally dedicated to money making tips and tricks. I even set up an ad server to manage my ads and banners. The software I am using is Openads which is now branded as Opex. Its excellent and the latest version is 2.4. I managed to learn most of the functionality and successfully started serving ads to my blogs. I will gradually shift all the ads through this ad server for all my other websites
During my work, I could learn some tricks and hacks related to this template. I have paid US$79.95 each for these templates and I feel its work. I designed the Logo on the header and then did some configuration for the home page. It will take some time to normalize everything. During this process I managed to upgrade the Wordpress version to the latest available 2.3. The upgrade process was successful and I have checked almost everything. If you find any problems, please post it here. There are some problems in pages with images (Old Posts) as I had sized the images according to my Old template. The previous template which I was using was ported by myself
