Johnchow.Com again penalised PR 4 to PR 326 Feb
Again this recent pagerank update, Johnchow.Com is penalised by Google. This confirms that Google is still behind paid links and paid reviews. JohnChow is a very high earning blogger and has heavy visitors and traffic. His strongest gain is the number of subscribers (I see a fall in the number of subscribers too now it shows 16665) and regular visitors. He should not be much effected with this pagerank update. Last PR update should have given him a lot of traffic not from Google by different discussion forums and blogs as his site was hot topic for discussion.
I recently have seen JohnChow.com has lots of Google Adwords Campaigns. I see his ads on my blogs on every page these days. Is he experiencing fall in traffic? No I cannot say that, may be he is increasing his number of visitors and he has a good budget for marketing as he earns good from his blog.
The reasons for the fall in PR of Johnchow.com could be the text links ads and paid review, but that’s the main source of revenue for bloggers like him. Why should he compromise these revenue source for the sake of pagerank. But how long will a PR 3 blog get good advertisers and will this be a blow to his blog revenue? May be as long as he has traffic. Now the question is will the PR fall reduce the website traffic from search engines. Search engines are the best and free traffic providing source as I have 80% of my traffic from Google.
I too have PR3 and PR4 on my blogs as Johnchow.com, but I don’t even earn 5% of what he earns. Its the way you market your blog, but when we take the example of Johnchow.com, it was a PR6 website and bagged good number of subscribers and traffic. Now the task is to maintain these visitors and keep the growth which can be done with efficient marketing
All the best Chow.
