Favicon Icon Website I was thinking of adding a Favicon Icon to all my websites and trying to find a tool to create these. I then tried googling for some tool and got this excellent website where you can create your icon instantly and the whole package downloaded to your local computer. Its very simple try this

Any way what is Favicon Icon, I really got these information googling around. You can even create animated icons using this website. All you need to check the option to create animated favicon icon.

Favicon is a short word for Favorite Icon. When you add a website having this favicon icon to your favorites, you can see this icon along with the name of the website. It infact increases the class and style of the website. It does not mean that every website having a Favicon Icon is a high class website and no search engine will use favicon icon to decide the SRPs.

In fact what is the use of this favicon icon? Does it have any effect on search engine optimization? I don’t really think so. I need to do some googling for this.

Its very simple, you need to upload the favicon icon created on to your server and add this tag above the <head> tag. Please check the path and see you use the path correctly

Usually the logo image is used to create the favicon icon by most of the websites I have seen. A webmaster can show the logo on the browser using this favicon.
