Using GSM and CDMA connection in same phone
July 3, 2008
If you use two mobile phones for a CDMA connection like the TATA Indicom or the Reliance, and a GSM connection like the Airtel or Vodaphone, then its time to change your phone. There are mobile phones which can have two phone connections working at the same time on a single mobile phone.
Spice Dual sim GSM CDMA Phone D88n is available in India. It has all the rich features that a basic phone needs and is costing about INR 9000.00.
This phone can give you two numbers which will be working at the same time. You do not need to switch between the connection all the time when you need to use it. Other features includes camera, 1000 numbers phone book, expandable memory upto 1 GB, Games, alarm, bluetooth and many more features
I have not used this phone, but I was looking for something like this. Does anybody know any pocket pc which can have this feature of dual sim?

Blackberry Indian users, your emails are now accessible to the Government
April 21, 2008
Canada’s Research In Motion, which operates the Blackberry in India, has agreed to install a system which will enable the Indian Government to access the emails sent and received through Blackberry. Due to some security issues -
“The security agencies are saying that we should have access to data that are being encrypted by services like BlackBerry on mobile phones and then decrypted when the phone reaches its nominated destination,” the source added. RIM does not, or has not been asked, to do this in any other country but is considering the matter.

Vishu - Kerala Festival - April 14th 2008
April 13, 2008
Vishu a festival for Keralites which fall on the first of Malayalam Calendar Medam 1st. Vishu is celebrated as the New year for Keralites / Malayalees and some parts of Tamilnadu.
Traditional people of Kerala celebrated Vishu with lot of joy and mirth. One very interesting custom of Vishu is Vishukani or Kani Kanal (first sight). Under this tradition there is a prescribed list of items that people see first thing on a Vishu morning. The custom stems from the strong belief of the people of Kerala that good things seen on the New Year day brings good luck for the entire year.
I remember my parents and other elders giving me money as Vishi Kai Neetam. My Mother used to wake me up and close my eyes and take me the pooja room and open my eyes to see the “Vishukani”. Vishukani is the first thing that we see at the begining of this new year. Vishukani is Wishing you all a Happy new year
