There were good number of visitors and buyers. The event was well organized and has given opportunities for the Hospitality Industry to exhibit their products and provide information to the buyers

Theme for World health day 2008

Today, April 7th is celebrated as World Health Day, world wide. The theme for the world health day for this year , 2008 is “protecting health from climate change”

World health day is celebrated to mark the founding of the World health organization. All the institutions in the Health sector do celebrate this day by providing some service or creating awareness among the people.

The theme “protecting health from climate change” puts health at the centre of the global dialogue about climate change. WHO selected this theme in recognition that climate change is posing ever growing threats to global public health security.

I would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas and prosperous new year.

Christmas festivities often combine the commemoration of Jesus’ birth with various secular customs, many of which have been influenced by earlier winter festivals.

Richard Gere Kissing too costly for Shilpa Shetty

At a function on Aids awareness, Hollywood star Richard Gere Kissed Shilpa shetty and this has taken a bad twist this time. The Media has taken the responsibility to make is as worse at it can.

Political parties in India has now the contract to take deciplinary action against Shilpa Shetty for getting Kissed at a function. She could have rejected, but she says that she did not want a Foriegner to get a bad memory from India, even though its against the Indian culture.

Second spotlight on Shilpa Shetty this year, the last one was during the Big Brother Show.

Again these are positive things which is good for gaining popularity

Brian Lara retires from cricket

Brian Lara at the age of 37, played his last innings at Bridge town yesterday, 21st April 2007  druing the World Cup Super Eight match between West Indies and England. He has scored 11953 runs in 131 test matches with 34 test centuries. He scored 10405 runs in one day international with 19 centuries. He has some records in his credits.

I wish him all the best for his future plans. Hopefully we may be able to see him as a commentator or an expert during other cricket matches

April 1st, Fools Day

Today is April 1st and its Fools day. People try to fool each other, some becomes very serious and some enjoy. Today morning I went to Matt’s blog and I was shocked to see his site hacked. I was really surprised. I had read his blog yesterday regarding his blog upgraded to Wordpress 2.1 and I had even posted a comment.

Now I doubt, is he fooling the world, Today is April 1st, then I am one among them

Saddam Hussain Hanged to Death

Saddam Hussain was hanged today morning 30th December 2006 after a long trail of more than two years. He was captured on 13th Decemebr 2004. He was accused of killing 148 Shias. It was really an unexpected news for everybody as he was given a time of 30 days. What could be the reason, may be pressure by the American Government.
