Axis Bank Phishing Email30 Aug
I was just going through my junk mail folder and found an email from Axis Bank which as bit surprising for me as the content was odd and I was thinking why this email has gone to the junk mail folder. I use strong Anti virus and junk mail filters and most of such mail are pushed to my junk mail box. As the mail was in Junk mail folder the pictures were not downloaded and the links were open. As you see in the picture below it looks very much like a mail from Axis Bank.
This email looks exactly like an email sent from my bank as it has the logo and the login URL looks to be axis bank URL. When you break the text as you see in the junk mail folder as shown below.
Now in the picture below you will see the text with the links. In the email the sender has requested to click on the link to resolve the problem and the url of the link goes to another hacking site and not axis bank. When you receive such emails, be sure that you check the URL on the address bar of your browser and not just be looking on the page. These hackers create websites which look exactly the same as the original bank website. One more important thing is that not bank will ask you to follow any links which will need to input your login information. If you have to login to your online banking site, always type the web address on your browser address bar and login. I had received similar email for Paypal which was again filtered out by Gmail.
