My recent trip to India

I was on my vacation to India from 3rd May to 17th May. Had a nice time spending time with my family and parents. The climate was very hot and humid. I spend a week at home eating homely food cooked by my mother. I really miss her food now, so I do not take any chance to miss any of my favourite dishes that she cooks and the taste of Curryleaves really tempts me to break my diet rules. I had some good sea food dishes, Fish curry, tapioca, crab curry, prawns curry and some chicken. I even had my very favourite tapioca puttu (Tapioca is dried and powdered and this powder is steamed). Really tasty and it should be served hot with some curry

From 11th I was traveling to different cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Cochin and Chennai. I visited Hyderabad on 16th two days before the bomb blast and even been to Charminaar to buy some Hyderabadi peals. Some other interesting thing about Hyderabad is Karachi Biscuits, and Sweets.

Traveling between the Metros in India is very easy with the Introduction of domestic Airlines. The rates are very competitive and you have lots of choices. Just logon to any travel websites like Yatra or MakeMytrip.com, and you can get your E-ticket instantly. Payments can be done only by Indian credit cards. Airlines like Indian, Air Sahara, Jet, Kingfisher are operating these domestic flights.

I had missed my connecting flight from Chennai to Cochin as my flight from Hyderabad to Chennai was delayed. Indian Airlines arranged my transfer to a star hotel and picked my up next day and dropped me at the International Airport where my flight was arranged to Cochin.

Had a nice trip and was a break for me, which I need at least once in three months.

Trivandrum International Airport

I have be using Trivandrum International Airport for a couple of years and its the worst airport that I have used. When you get down from a flight you are taken to a bus, worst than local KSRTC buses. I don’t know what the tourists feel about this. Last month after arrival and the immigration clearance I had to use the wash room (toilet), surprisingly it did not have a door, instead an asbestos sheet was keep which needed to be dragged to close the door. When I reached the commod, somebody had used it .. you can imagine.

Yesterday I read a news that Trivandrum International Airport is being developed spending crores of Rupees and the first phase of the work will be finished by mid 2008. Hopefully it will be of International Standards

Importance of sitemap for google indexing

Sitemap is a listing of all the webpages of your site and if you submit your site and the sitemap at Google Webmaster Central, it will be additional view of the site as per google. It is not mandatory that you submit sitemap to get your pages indexed.

Google Says

A Sitemap provides an additional view into your site (just as your home page and HTML site map do). This program does not replace our normal methods of crawling the web. Google still searches and indexes your sites the same way it has done in the past whether or not you use this program. Sites are nevër penalized for using this service.

Going for Vacation to India

I will be going for my Vacation to India, on 3rd May, and will be back on 17th May, just 2 weeks. Planning to travel to Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Mumbai to meet some friends and My HomeJob members. Spend some time with my family.

I am have to come online atleast a day to check my mails and approvals of homejob members. Its very hot in Kerala I heard, hopefully it does not start raining to spoil my trip. I don’t think I will be able to do any posts during this time, but will be back with my experience during the trip
