Checking Plagiarism, Copyscape
March 31, 2007
Copyscape, Website Plagiarism is something which you need to check, I could find an excellent site. This information was given to me by one of HomeJob Member, Mr Anirban roy. I needed to check my members submission before approval. 50% of the submissions which I get, are either copies from other websites or from any magazines. If you publish such contents, google marks those pages as supplemental results, because it could find similar pages on other websites
Hulhumale, Future of Maldives
March 30, 2007
I have been working in the Republic of Maldives for the past 4 years. Its really a beautiful place, very nice place to work and especially my employer. Maldives is a group of Island, you can find more info about Maldives at my website dedicated to Maldives
Today was a holiday for me and I was going around the Capital city Male’ and just took some snaps. Then I decided to go to Hulhumale, which is an artificial island, may be the future capital of Maldives. This is a very big island, compared to Male’. Male’ is very congested and now its developing vertically. All the newly constructed buildings are 10 storied. There is no more space and now we can see all the old buildings being demolished and new multi-storied buildings coming up.
To go to Hulhumale there is a separate Jetty, after the airport jetty. The boat service is operated by MTCC, and the boats and bigger than the one which is used to travel to airport. Approximately about 100 passengers can travel in this boat and the ticket fare is just Mrf 5.00. It takes about 20 minutes to reach Hulhumale’ from Male’.
I got down at the jetty and walked out, and saw a Swaraj Mazda bus to carry people to the main residential place. I could not get a seat, as they do not allow more than the seating capacity of the bus. I decided to walk as the sun was not much hot and it was around 05.30 pm. I took just 10 mins, very casual walk to reach the residential area, and the beach is also near by. There I saw a Bank Of Maldives, branch with ATM facility, STO super market, a pharmacy, and the Government Hospital. Dhiraagu also has a office there and the other telecom company, Wataniya telecoms, main office also located here.
This island will be the future of Maldives and its also connected to the Airport island, Hulhule’.
I came back after spending some time in the beach and took some snaps and I could even get the sunset shot.
Friday evening was different today.

March 22, 2007
This week there was a good news for me. My boss who is also the head of networks for Dhiraagu, the most reliable telecom company in Maldives was promoted as the CEO of Dhiraagu. He is a very able person and I am sure he will be very successful in his new responsibility. Now Dhiraagu is facing some competition by the second Mobile operator in Malidives, Wataniya Telecomes, but they have only Internet and mobile services.
I wish him all the best
Using Google Adwords Efficiently
March 22, 2007
What is Google Adwords?
This may be a silly question for webmasters or people who use this. I am also a Google Adwords account holder, but the real cream in this is to use it efficiently. If you are not tuning your adwords campaign properly, you may burn your fingers.
Adwords account can be created by anyone, just sign-up and start using it. Off-course its not free, you need to give your credit card details and you will be billed according to the usage. There are also option to pump funds into your adwords account and set daily budgets so that you don’t loose money or your advertising budget is not effected.
My first post in my personal blog
March 21, 2007
I have been using wordpress for quite a long time and I felt very comfortable working with this. Wordpress is very commonly used for personal and commercial blogging. Blogging is now very common among the internet users and a very high percentage of people are involved in this. Some take this as profession and some just do it for fun and hobby. I my case, both. I have been blogging for a long time and if you try googling my name, you can find some pages listing my posts in different websites.
Blogs are generally indexed very fast by search engines and Google even has blog search too. Blogging tools like pinging are used to ping the search engines so that the search engine is aware that there is an update in some blog and the search engine robots crawls the pages and index them. When ever somebody searches for some stuff, they get the latest information.
If you try googling for key phrases like “earning through blogging” you can find some posts or pages which will give you some information related to people who have taken blogging as profession. Even big corporates and manufactures hire bloggers to advertise their products on different websites. They write excellent reviews creating customer awareness to views and its working really well.
Blogging is a good profession and if you have good writing skill you can try it. There are many professional bloggers who earn handsome from these posts.
If you have spare time, spend a bit and try it out. There are many sites where you can register and start your own blog. You don’t need to hire a server, register a domain or anything. Just register, customize your blogs look and feel, select a topic and start off right away.
If you are ready to spend some money in this, then you can register a domain, buy a hosting package and install a blogging software like Wordpress, typepad, moveable type, Joomla, Mambo and many which are open source. Some hosting control panels have Fantastico which will help you in installing these on to your server in minutes.
Download some free templates or if you want to buy some professional templates like the one I have installed, you can get it instantly from the template websites. You will need to customize the template to your need. If you have knowledge of php and css, then you can do it yourself or you can ask your template vender to customize it for you. They will surely charge for this and may be bit costly. I don’t know the rates of customization of templates as I have never done it. I do it my self for my websites.
You can decide, how you want to take blogging as?
Your comments are appreciated

I paid US$51.00 for the template which I am using, but I don’t regret after all I purchased after viewing the demo

Last week I got an O2 Zinc, a PDA from O2. Its a new products, with windows mobile 5. I was using O2 Atom for the past 1 year. I have an habit of changing my phone once a year. The first PDA I used was a HP Ipaq 6500. It was a good experience migrating from a simple Panasonic Phone to a PDA. For the past 3 years I am using PDA and very much adjusted with that.
Modules Invisible, Shown missing in Drupal administration
March 11, 2007
Yesterday, I was working on my Drupal website (Website using Drupal 5.1) and found a strange thing. I had my site transferred from a shared hosting to a dedicated server and the site transfer went well and all the testings positive.
I was then trying to add some modules and uploaded the file and then went to administration - > modules and found something strange. Only a very few modules were showing up. Many of the installed ones and the inactive ones were missing. The taxonomy module was also missing so I could not make any forum posts as the taxonomy module is mandatory for this. I checked my server and all the files were intact.
